At SDGBC, we feel that it's our responsibility to make it easy for you to come to church.
We want you to be able to experience the great music, the thought-provoking message from God's Word,
the friendly people, and the family atmosphere that are all a part of SDGBC.
And we know that your first time at a church, any church, will bring up some questions.
We have tried to answer some of the most common questions below!
What is Family Bible Hour?
Family Bible Hour is our equivalent to Sunday School. There are small group classes offered for junior high and up.
These classes are taught by a variety of people within SDGBC and cover a wide range of topics on a twelve week cycle.
Recent topics include: Spiritual Gifts, Biblical Financial Principles, What is Grace? and the History of the Church.
While you participate in one of these classes, your children will be cared for in our childrens' classes.
What Should I Expect During the Service?
The SDGBC worship experience is best described as a family time. You will not be singled our as a visitor,
but we must warn you that there are a lot of friendly people here who will make you feel very welcome!
What Should I Wear?
We are more concerned about worship and the Word of God than what you wear.
So, dress casually and you'll fit right in.
What Will My Children Do?
We know that as a parent you want to make sure that your children are in a safe and loving environment
(all our adult volunteers go through a rigorous screening process). Additionally, we know that your children
are looking for an exciting place to learn. We strive to make sure both of these goals are accomplished.
How Big is SDGBC?
SDGBC is a family oriented local church where you will not be "lost in the crowd".
Currently our weekly attendance is between 30 and 45 people. In addition, each Wednesday evening there are about
70 children and adults who gather to enjoy our AWANA program.
